9- Create multiple Tweets
Twitter is a microblogging tool which requires frequent updates to get noticed. If you want to get more eye balls on your content, share your recent blog post multiple times on the first day. Let’s say twice or thrice in a day.
It would appeal more readers if you can create multiple tweets about your new blog post and send them in different timings.
Attract new visitors by adding a gorgeous graphic and a power verb in the tweet.
10 – Share an update on Google Plus
Don’t miss out this step.

Your content promotion techniques should also include the list of social bookmarking sites. Add your blog post URL to sites like Dig, Stumbleupon, and Reddit. By submitting your content on aggregator sites, you’ll instantly notice a spike in your blog traffic.
Make sure, you also share others content. By only sharing your own content, your account might get flagged for spam.
12- Take advantage from Q/A communities
The online places like Quora and Yahoo are amazing to learn, market products and build expertise. You can use these Q/A platforms and provide valuable answers to queries. If you’ve some content relevant to your answer, simply add a link and direct readers to your own blog.
As I said earlier, don’t always promote yourself. Be genuine and build your expertise as a great blogger.
13- Send Email
Email is the fastest way of communication with your loyal readers. They want to read from you. As soon as your new blog post gets published, schedule an email newsletter for your readers.
You can add a small description about the post, an image and a link to your recent blog post.
14- Submit RSS feed to directories
We all want free traffic to our websites. One easy way is to utilize online blog directories by submitting your blog and RSS feed.
However, some websites ask for a reciprocal link or request to add a badge on your site. You can search for blog directories on Google, and see what suits your niche. I’d suggest you note down details you may be asked for;
– Blog Name
– Blog’s Url
– RSS Feed Url of the blog
– A brief description about the blog/website.
15- Activate Google Alerts
When you’re done with your blog post, set up the Google alert for that specific keyword. Google alert gives you email alerts for the keywords you’ve added. It also determines whether your recent blog post is going viral or not.
Head over to Google Alert Homepage to activate email alerts for your new blog post.
16- Give link from old posts
Immediately after publishing the post, go over to previous posts and see if it’s relevant to give a link to the new post. This is another best SEO practice that involves good internal link building. You should always add fresh links to your previous blog posts and update them.

Repurpose your content into ebook, short videos, infographics, audios etc. Furthermore, you can even start a podcast channel and upload all your audios to it.
19- Schedule your social media game
Scheduling is the winning game in social media. Of course, you cannot be present every time, on every social media channel. But, if you want to get noticed by readers, and brands, you’ve to be actively present.
Now, schedule your latest content for multiple networks. You can use tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, Postplanner to schedule your post for different times.

Maybe, discuss a few things about your life. Give some tips related to the blog post content. Tell the readers WHAT you’ve discussed in the blog post. How does the content help them?
Establish the interest in your audience by doing a Facebook Live. You can even get a more active audience if you leave an update before a day or two.
Send out a teaser about Facebook Live to your email subscribers, Facebook followers and other social media fans.
21- Take part in Groups and Contribute
Take advantage from online groups to build a solid foundation in your field. Groups have more relaxed rules than forums. It’s easy to contribute and play your part. You can trigger discussions and contribute your point to educate others without.
In groups, you can provide value for a week and gain exposure to a new audience. The audience will absorb your advice and take your word seriously. You can start contributing and when the time comes, promote your own content if that’s relevant.
There are multiple niche-based groups you can join for free.

As a blogger, you aim to get some free traffic from search engine. Do you know how to check your new blog post rankings?
After the post goes live for a week or few days, use tools like SERPs, Pro Rank Checker to monitor the ranking.
All you need to do is to add your blog URL, main keyword and click Search. Note down the position of the blog post and wait for few days to see if the rank gets improved.
If your post doesn’t show up on front pages of Google, you’ve probably picked a keyword that is too difficult to rank. After monitoring the ranking, you can edit the keyword or make some changes to the blog post.
Typing ‘Things to do when publishing a blog post’ in the search query yields top results in Google’s page known as SERP (Search Engine Results Page).
You have to make efforts for positioning your blog post on the top most ranks of this SERP.
23 – Dig Deep Into Google Analytics Data
Tracking the numbers is one of the most overlooked activities. You’ve to monitor the performance of your new blog post to figure out what’s working and what’s not.
